Update: The original intent of this website has ended. The second intent of this website was the study of spam robots and how thru no effort on my part this website earned as many as 2,000 views a day even though it had not even been posted to since early Oct. 2010.

No human was reading this website, yet by the standards of google and other this website is considered popular.

Yet 99% of these page views are from spambots… And finally when I was nearing a hundred-thousand comments the spam bots began spoofing my domain name in a way that made my host provider think I was sending out more than 5,000 emails an hour. So I killed the research and deleted all the comments!

The third intention of this website has yet to be defined.

As for the spambot experiment the Collecta widget may have something to do with attracting them, or perhaps the broken rss function to my tumblr account played a roll: http://olyecology.com Regardless, all the spam bots started feeding off all the other spam bots…

So this is now a shut down forum website where spambots for a time were like a giant snowball rolling down a steep hill of self-perpetuating spam.

I probably should of killed this experiment a long time ago, but hey, the robots seemed to be enjoying themselves, why ruin the party? But now that they virtually took over my website’s email accounts I have no hesitation in deleting them all…

When we learn to extend the care and concern we have for our own bodies to our cars and bicycles we complete the first era of how we blend our spirits with machines. The next step is when we extend that same care and concern for own bodies to our phones, computers, and many other objects with computer chips in them.

This is a new era where our spirit blends with not just machines but with all the knowledge of the web that runs the machines, as well as all the knowledge that runs or unruns the vital ecological functions of our planet.

As we cross over into this new world where our spirit blends with all the machines and all the knowledge we’ve ever known we need to remind ourselves to learn and to blend with all our available tools in the same way a worker who uses the same tool  every day develops a professional refinement of technique, a discipline that makes for mastery.

This website is here to not only help us along that path, but to bring humanity back to a world where all beings and all things have identity and autonomy and a need to work together to not only make us human again, but to also make the earth much more alive and sustaining again.
